Photographers eye book

Just bought Michael Freemans book from which the TAOP course is drawn.  Gives more explanation and expands on each point so very usedful to augment course.

This is a Magic Lantern guide by Simon Stafford who is a bit of a Nikon wizz and is involved at Greys of Westminster I think.  Excellent book as it really goes into detail about the camera rather than just about photography in general.  Keep it in my camera bag as it is a small field guide and it is brilliant for reference.

Stafford, S (2011)  Nikon D3100 Pixiq publishing.  New York

They also do a good composition guide

Just finished the first chapter and starting on the exercises. Interesting that the course does not do much on the technical stuff of photogrpahy but focuses on the art. I was a bit resistant to this but actually can now see the logic. Have been re-reading the book D3100 snapshot to greatshots which is a good manual on my camera and also Complete Photography Course by Garrett and Harris which I have had for ages but really rate.
